Two Architecture Destinations for Your Next Trip to Asia

After more than 20 years of managing business strategy at Johnson & Johnson (J&J), Stefano Curti left the global pharmaceutical corporation in 2013 to serve as president and CEO of a women’s health innovation incubator with venture capital backing. Away from the office, Stefano Curtis enjoys traveling throughout Asia.

For those planning a trip to Asia, the following two destinations offer the opportunity to view unforgettable architectural achievements.

Siam Reap, Cambodia

When visiting Siam Reap, travels should make the four-mile journey north to the west gate of Angkor Wat, built in the 12th century. Since 1432, Buddhist monks have maintained the temple, which is 190 meters (623 feet) wide and ranks as one of the world’s top architectural feats.

Agra, India

Most have not heard of Agra, but many know of the Taj Mahal. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal is the product of 22 years of labor and has stood for more than three centuries. The palace features countless gems along its walls, as well as lines from the Koran shaped as flowers.
